The Thunderbirds 1965 Kickstarter may be over, but our updates will still be keeping you up to date with production as things progress.

Today we thought you might be interested in a sneak preview at some of the costumes we're having made. Whilst there is an expectation from some that we might slavishly copy everything from the original series, our ethos is to try and make the productions with the same mindset the production team would have had in 1965. The original shows were a mix of recycled and new, and for that reason we have decided to have whole new casual wardrobes designed for many of the characters.

Our fabulous costume designer, Liz, has recently been working on Lady Penelope's new wardrobe for her appearances in India during The Abominable Snowman. Liz's costumes have been inspired by the fashions of the period, just as the original outfits were.

The collection of our Kickstarter funds has begun and so far the vast majority of your pledges have been processed with ease. We do ask, however, that you please check to make sure that your payment has gone through successfully. At the moment 120+ backers' payments have failed to process which equates to a significant chunk of money. Please be on the lookout for notices in your email inboxes when you log in to Kickstarter. We'd hate for anybody to miss out!

Please Check Your Pledges
over 9 years ago – Thu, Aug 13, 2015 at 05:35:05 AM

With just three and a half hours to go until the end of the campaign we'd like to ask you all to check your pledges. We notice quite a few people have ended up decreasing their pledges today. This may be intentional, or it may be due to Kickstarter's limitations when it comes to selecting more than one reward. You can check how much you are pledging in the Manage My Pledge section.

To ensure you receive the rewards you would like, please follow our guide.

Thanks!

Prepare For Blast Off!

There are less than ten hours to go before Thunderbirds 1965 reaches the conclusion of its Kickstarter campaign. It has been quite a journey and we're very grateful to each and every one of our backers, but there is still time to raise that little bit extra to make the most of this once in a lifetime opportunity and to ensure that our brand new episodes of classic Thunderbirds are as special as possible.

Speaking of once in a lifetime opportunities, time is rapidly running out for any new backers who are considering pledging towards one or more of our exclusive rewards. Thanks to our campaign, classic Thunderbirds is returning to production at its original home on the Slough Trading Estate one last time – something we can guarantee as the area is up for redevelopment. If you'd like to see a retro Supermarionation production in person in as close a recreation of its 1960s setting as possible, Thunderbirds 1965 really does offer your one and only chance.

Just to give you a taste of what a modern Supermarionation film set is like, here are some pictures from our last production:

CLASSIC THUNDERBIRDS ARE GO!!!
over 9 years ago – Wed, Aug 12, 2015 at 12:22:24 PM

Well, we did it! A massive thank you to the 3,378 backers who pledged to  this campaign over the past month and to all of you who helped spread the word. We can't wait to enter fully-fledged production and create some really amazing episodes of classic Thunderbirds.

Although the main page indicates that we have raised an amazing £218,412 it should be noted that our final total has yet to be tallied. Over the course of the next 14 days, Kickstarter will be collecting payments from your accounts. Please keep a look out for an email from Kickstarter in the eventuallity that your card payment has failed – they will be able to help you address the issue and make sure that you do not miss out!

A few concerned backers have been in touch to say that they have received emails from Kickstarter which suggest that they have only pledged for one, rather than multiple, rewards. Don't worry, this is a limitation of the Kickstarter system and you can rest assured that we have records of every item each backer has pledged for.

You'll be hearing from us soon, but until then remember, "Thunderbirds are definitely... GO!"

1 Day To Go!
over 9 years ago – Mon, Aug 10, 2015 at 12:32:51 PM

The countdown has almost reached zero and Thunderbird 1 is all set to launch! That's right, there's only one day left to go before Thunderbirds 1965's Kickstarter campaign comes to an end. As such, this is your last chance to get hold of some of our great rewards, including some never to be repeated once in a lifetime experiences.

We may have reached our stretch goals, but every penny that we raise between here and the end of the campaign will be used to make our three new episodes bigger and better. This means more elaborate sets, an increased population of guest puppets, and a greater number of guest vehicles acting together to open up the vast world of classic Thunderbirds.

As our campaign heads into its final hours, pre-production continues. Here are some glimpses into the process we thought you might enjoy:

Finally, we'd like to draw your attention to the F.A.Q. section on our main page. We're very grateful for everybody's contribution and as such we'd like to make sure that all of our backers are happy to be involved with the project and that they are satisfied with the rewards that they will be receiving. To that end, please be sure to check our F.A.Q. and make certain that you're pleased to back Thunderbirds 1965!
