Happy New Year!
almost 9 years ago – Wed, Dec 30, 2015 at 10:57:51 PM

Dear backers,

Just a quick message from us to wish you a very Happy New Year. 2015 has been an extraordinary year for us - who'd have thought that we'd ever see Classic Thunderbirds back? Hopefully 2016 will bring its own nice surprises.

Next week we're holding the crew screening - to which several Kickstarter backers have also been invited. This will be the first time all three episodes have been shown publically. Once the screening is over, the main crew will disband for the final time, and it will be down to us to organise the production and distribution of the Kickstarter rewards.

We can't give a definite timeline for shipping, sadly. From this point on we'll be an even tinier team and so we can't commit to a definite date. Needless to say though, we'll be attempting to bring the same level of efficiency to the rewards as we have tried to do with the production!

Thank you again to all of those who supported our dream of bringing Thunderbirds back. See you in the new year!

Sound Restoration
almost 9 years ago – Sun, Dec 20, 2015 at 10:44:48 PM

We've done the pictures, now it's time for the sound! We spent the day with audio genius Mark Ayres who is not only doing our final mixes for the episodes, but painstakingly restoring the original mini-album soundtracks for us. The results are astonishing, and we're thrilled that Mark is taking as much time and effort over the audio as we did with the pictures. We'll bring you a more detailed update soon about the audio work (and what you can expect on your discs). In the meantime, here's a short video of Mark at work on The Abominable Snowman.

Thunderbirds 1965 - That's a Wrap!
almost 9 years ago – Fri, Dec 18, 2015 at 09:35:56 PM

And so it's all over for Thunderbirds 1965. Shooting completed at 7.30pm last night, and the puppets were hung up for the very last time.

It's been an amazing adventure bringing these characters and vehicles back. It's also been incredibly hard work. The studio has been open every day since we moved in back in August and the crew has worked morning, day and night in order to achieve what many considered to be the impossible.

Over the last few days the crew has disbanded one by one, rightfully feeling proud of what they've achieved. On a very limited budget it's been a very tough production, but each member of the crew committed themselves to the journey. We really have become a family and it's been a difficult week of good byes.

Our final task today is to complete the interviews for a short feature that will appear on the final DVDs and blu-rays. After which the camera equipment will be returned, the puppet bridge will be dismantled and the puppets will become silent once again.

We'd really like to extend a heartfelt thanks to everyone who backed us. Whilst some people chose to sit back and criticise, over 3000 of you signed up to our dream of bringing back Classic Thunderbirds. Without that initial leap of faith this project would never have been possible.

There are no plans for the future. We can confirm there will be no further mini-album adaptations. But when the episodes are out for the world to see who knows what might happen next? We hope that Supermarionation will continue to live in some form - but if it doesn't, at least it got one last outing. And that's thanks to us - and YOU.

Thank you.

Stephen, Justin and Andrew.
